Vingroup profits double

Conglomerate Vingroup said pre-tax profits doubled year-on-year in the first six months to VND7.94 trillion (US$337.82 million), its highest since listing on the stock market.

Revenues also doubled to VND102.53 trillion. The company reported growth in all key businesses.

Its housing development subsidiary Vinhomes saw revenues more than quadruple to VND62.1 trillion.

Its retail property development unit Vincom Retail achieved a 28% increase in revenues to VND4.1 trillion.

VinFast delivered 11,300 cars during the period, taking the total number since it began manufacturing them to 105,000.
