Transportation service provider Tasco will issue shares to exchange them with those of Vietnam’s biggest car distributor SVC Holdings to buy out the latter.

The transaction is part of Tasco’s strategy to be the service provider for all demands of a car owner, including getting loans, buying insurance, and maintenance.

SVC accounts for 11.2% of Vietnam’s car distribution market. It sells vehicles of Toyota, Ford and Volvo.

Last year its revenue was VND21.32 trillion ($882.72 million) and its pre-tax profits was VND692 billion, a new record since establishment.

The company targets to sell 40,000 vehicles this year and fetch a revenue of VND35 trillion.

Tasco owns Vietnam Electronic Toll Collection company and has nearly 3 million customers.
