The directors of Southern Airport Services, which provides ground services at the HCMC airport, have recommended making chairman Johnathan Hanh Nguyen’s wife Le Hong Thuy Tien a new director.

Shareholders are set to vote to approve the list of directors for 2024-29 at the company’s annual general meeting Wednesday.

The only proposed change in the list this year is Tien’s addition as the fifth director.

Tien, 54, who has a bachelor’s degree in economics, is the CEO of Imex Pan Pacific Group (IPPG), the exclusive distributor of over 100 luxury fashion brands in Vietnam, including Rolex, Cartier, Dolce & Gabbana, Balmain, Ermenegildo Zegna and others. Johnathan is the chairman of IPPG.

Johnathan owns 60.6 million shares of Sasco for a 45.55% stake, and Tien owns 50,000 shares.

This year Sasco plans to pay cash dividends of VND600 ($0.024) per share, which means the couple will receive VND36 billion.

Sasco targets growing revenues by 5% this year to VND2.9 trillion and pre-tax profits by 3% to VND343 billion.
