Lottery winner bags $9M jackpot

The company did not disclose much else about the winner except that he or she was a customer of telecom giant Viettel. The winning ticket carried the number 22-34-44-46-54-55-14.

Another 37 people won VND40 million each, and thousands more won smaller amounts.

Vietlott’s largest ever jackpot of VND314 billion was shared by two people in Ho Chi Minh City in April.

The state-owned company has been selling lottery tickets for the last seven years and has so far sold 537 million of them, with 15 million winning prizes.

It reported revenues of VND6.33 trillion last year.
