The scooters, among the 1,888 made for the global market, were first introduced in Hong Kong in January to mark the Year of the Dragon.
Piaggio, the Italian manufacturer of Vespa scooters, has not disclosed how many will be sold in Vietnam.
The first 946 Dragon scooters were imported in March by a local distributor.
The vehicle, which has emerald green dragon images hand-painted on its body, comes in two engine sizes: 125cc and 150cc.
This is the second successive year that limited-edition Vespas have been made based on the Chinese zodiac.
It launched the Vespa 946 10° Anniversario with a bunny image last year, the Year of the Water Rabbit.
