The plastic trash collecting event "Save the Sea, Go Plastic-Free" was held on Long Hai beach recently to raise awareness about preserving and protecting the ocean from plastic trash.

The campaign took place to celebrate the World Environmental Day June 5, as part of KPT Group's annual CSR (corporate social responsibilities) activities aiming to raise awareness about environmental issues among local communities and employees.

The event was held by the company together with the People's Committee of Long Dien District, Long Hai Town, and the Nature and Environment Protection Association of Ho Chi Minh City (HANE).

The company organizes annual trips for employees and their families to promote awareness about environmental protection among staff and society. This event’s dual purposes were to strengthen both CSR and team building.

KPT Group worked with the People's Committee of Long Dien District, Ba Ria-Vung Tau Province to invite students from Hung Vuong Secondary School in Long Hai Town to join the environmental activities. During the event, the students were introduced solutions to protect the ocean from plastic trash, and they were also taught to understand the importance of sorting trash using recycle bins.

During the event, KPT Group donated 10 units of recycling bins to Hung Vung Secondary School to promote trash recycling. The company also donated 50 trash bins to place along the beach so that the public has proper facilities to dispose of trash. As well, the group supported 20 students from low-income families with scholarships.
