Bamboo Airways on Monday appointed Phan Dinh Tue, former deputy general director of Sacombank, as chairman for a five-year term in place of Le Thai Sam.

After working as deputy general director of the private lender since 2012, Tue joined the airline in June 2023 as a director before being elevated to permanent vice chairman.

Bamboo Airways hoped his appointment would serve its new development goals and accelerate its restructuring.

Bamboo Airways plans to break even by 2025, gradually increase its operating efficiency in the following years, and expand its domestic and international flight networks in 2026-28 increasing its fleet size 30-50 aircraft by then.
