Food producer KIDO has launched its first E2E (entertainment and e-commerce) channel on TikTok for businesses to find outlets for their products in the context of weak purchasing power.

CEO Tran Le Nguyen said Saturday that the channel went live after months of research on e-commerce. The trading floor will be built on the TikTok platform.

KIDO is the project investor while TikTok will provide traffic generation, key opinion leaders and key opinion consumers.

Specifically, the channel will post videos reviewing fashion and cuisine products, as well as product experiences by influencers aside from entertainment performances and exclusive entertainment videos through the combination with local and foreign media and entertainment companies.

According to KIDO, this will be an opportunity for brands, associations, and businesses to promote trade promotion and marketing activities to reach a large number of customers. Businesses can conduct livestream sales on the platform at a low cost, taking advantage of the platform to shorten the process and cost of bringing products to consumers.

Nguyen said that in the immediate future, the company hopes to build a channel with traffic reaching millions of viewers, where consumers will receive free entertainment products from famous people and can also easily shop for genuine products at good prices.

As for businesses, in addition to promoting their products, they can livestream their sales on a channel watched by millions.

When selling products directly to consumers through E2E, businesses can cut many costs for marketing, logistics, premises, and management. At the same time, state agencies can collect taxes more easily and effectively.

Nguyen Lam Thanh, TikTok's official representative in Vietnam, said this is the first time the company has combined with a business to create an E2E channel.

Nguyen of KIDO said entertainment channels combined with e-commerce will be the business trends of the future.

"Currently on TikTok, shops are earning revenue of several millions or hundreds of millions of dong each day (VND1 million = US$4,100), but with the E2E channel, we aim for businesses' daily sales to reach perhaps hundreds of billions per day," said Nguyen.

He said livestream sales on e-commerce platforms are increasingly popular, contributing to the revenue of businesses of diverse scales and fields around the world.
