TUBRR Vietnam, an official YouTube MCN, successfully collaborated with representatives from the platform to organize the online workshop Creators Date #2, which saw the attendance of hundreds of participants.

In Vietnam, the number of YouTube users is increasing, with millions of users accessing the platform every day.

Therefore, the issues that creators face when trying to monetize on YouTube are becoming more complex due to changes in platform policies and algorithms.

About 75% of creators report having difficulties with YouTube's frequent 'strikes.' Despite many challenges, the potential for generating income from YouTube in Vietnam is considered to be growing well due to the large number of users and the extremely creative and talented young community.

Under the topic "Understand the Rules, Earn Money with Ease," the workshop brought together many experienced experts in the YouTube field: Slava Kuznetsov, Strategic Partner Manager at YouTube; Peter Sládeček, Founder and CEO of TUBRR; and Linh Tran, Network Manager at TUBRR.

During the first part of the program, Slava Kuznetsov provided insightful knowledge and perspectives on how YouTube operates and the platform's policies in guiding the production and uploading of healthy, platform-appropriate content.

According to Slava, the YouTube ecosystem includes three different groups: creators, viewers, and advertisers.

To ensure the platform operates effectively, YouTube always balances the needs of these groups.

Accordingly, he specifically advised creators to leverage platform policies and attract viewers in order to monetize.

The expert also emphasized that context is crucial in all uploaded videos. He mentioned 10 common principles that creators often overlook, leading to ad-unfriendly videos, and then limited or no monetization. These included inappropriate language, adult content, violence, and sensitive issues.

On the other hand, Slava Kuznetsov also provided a clear and understandable explanation of the "self-certification" program, equipping creators with new knowledge to optimize their revenue.

"Unlike machine learning systems, YouTube's self-certification program allows creators to provide information to determine if their videos adhere to the advertiser-friendly guidelines or not. This enables YouTube to make monetization decisions faster and more accurately," he explained.

During the workshop, the audience also engaged in a live Q&A session with two speakers from TUBRR, Peter Sládeček and Linh Tran.

From questions related to the workshop's topic, to specific situations that creators have been facing in creating and growing their channels, all inquiries were thoroughly answered and advice was given by the experts.

This not only provided useful consultation to resolve issues creators were encountering but also motivated and encouraged all participants to stay creative and continually gain more knowledge to achieve success on their journey as YouTube creators.
