"I understand that I am responsible for apologizing to the fans who have spent their love on me, whose support has been motivating me over the past years," the singer wrote in an open letter to audiences and the media.

"I have always been aware of my strengths and weaknesses since I began my career in the entertainment industry, and I’ve tried to complete my personal style while pursuing the music genre I chose."

During Linh’s September 6 press conference announcing her first solo concert, which was named "Vietnamese," the singer received two questions from a reporter.

Regarding the first question about her live singing, the singer answered the question with a question and made a metaphor instead of answering directly.

She told the reporter to imagine that she was able to walk, but some people thought she couldn’t because they had once seen her accidentally trip on a rainy day. She then asked the reporter: "So, do you think that I can walk?"

When asked about the role of musician Ho Hoai Anh in her concert, Linh talked about "humanity" instead of providing a direct answer once again.

"I don’t want to talk about what is right and what is not here, I just want to talk about humanity, which fuels everything in life," she said. "I want people to support those who are talented and those who stayed by my side when I encountered hardships."

The reporter then clarified that he simply wanted to know if Anh was playing the role of a musical director or a sound engineer at the concert, to which Linh replied: "What kind of title are you going to make for your article?"

She subsequently brought the reporter to the stage and questioned him about his values. Much of the public has been critical of Linh after the event, with many saying that her answers were ambiguous, lacked focus, and did not directly target the questions.

Nguyen Phong Viet, an experienced communications expert in the field of entertainment, said Linh treated her interview questions poorly despite starting her career in the entertainment industry more than 15 years ago.

"I think Linh should behave more carefully and show her respect towards the questioners, especially at a press conference," Viet said.

Starting her career in the entertainment industry as an actress, Linh, 35, rose to prominence in 2007 after starring in the sitcom "Nhat Ky Vang Anh" (The Daily Life of Vang Anh).

She made her musical debut in 2010 and has achieved moderate success in the musical industry.

She was named Best Asian Artist Vietnam at South Korea's 2019 Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA 2019), and her song "See Tinh" (See Love), released in 2022, went viral worldwide, with many international artists praising it and posting videos of themselves dancing to it.

Her solo concert "Vietnamese" is set to be held on September 29 at HCMC’s Phu Tho Indoor Stadium.
