Seoul pho eatery is Rosé from Blackpink's favorite

The singer shared photos of a late-night meal at the eatery, which was just an outdoor noodle cart, in 2019. She wrote in the accompanying caption: "Late night Pho."
She has shared her love of the dish several times, including during Blackpink’s Hanoi concerts at My Dinh National Stadium on July 29-30.

Many fans were curious as to why she dropped by a streetside open air mobile food stall instead of visiting a luxurious restaurant. They then started searching for the noodle cart.
They then found the place, which was at that time a tiny shop called Pho Thumb.

Merely a stall back then, the mobile Pho Thumb did not have a fixed location. The stall was decorated with many items related to Vietnam, such as chains of conical hats and paintings of a woman in an ao dai driving a motorbike.

People flocked to the eatery after its identity was revealed to get a taste of the global singer’s favorite dish, despite having to wait in long queues as there were few staff at the place. The business then bloomed.
Pho Thumb then transformed itself into an established restaurant with a fixed address. People can now visit it on Seoul’s Huiujeong-ro street, nearby the head office of YG Entertainment, Blackpink’s managing agency.

Located near the famous and crowded Hongdae neighborhood, the eatery is now more accessible to more people. It serves lunch to customers between 11:30 a.m. and 3 p.m., and then opens again at 5 p.m. before closing at 10 p.m.

Pho Thumb can serve around 20 people at once. It has an open kitchen, surrounded by seats, so that guests can observe the cooking process while enjoying their meals.

With around ten dishes in its menu, Pho Thumb’s best-selling meal is still Vietnamese beef pho, which was the dish Blackpink Rosé ordered.
It takes a lot of effort to make the dish. In a video uploaded on the YouTube channel HanQuocBros, Pho Thumb’s owner says he simmers the bones for eight hours to flavor the soup without adding artificial sweetener.

Bun thit nuong (rice noodles served with grilled pork) is another dish sold at Pho Thumb.

Seafood noodles, sour-spicy noodles, and shrimp cutlet are also served at the restaurant.

The restaurant owner has shared many photos of himself on various trips to Vietnam on the eatery’s Instagram account.
