K-pop superstar boy band BTS only spoke a few Vietnamese sentences in a promotion video with ride-hailing app Gojek but still sent fans and netizens into a frenzy.

The two promotion videos of BTS for Gojek Vietnam have garnered over 13.5 million views. In the first clip, members of the band texted the driver in Vietnamese, saying "book Gojek, go everywhere" in Vietnamese. The second clip saw BTS saying "I’m so hungry" and "if you want to eat good, order on Gojek", all in Vietnamese.

Many fans have complimented BTS’ Vietnamese pronunciation and accent.

"Their Vietnamese is adorable. So good." user Phung Nguyen commented.

"Gojek is making big moves. They even got BTS to speak Vietnamese in this video," user Chan Chu wrote.

Vietnam is the last stop in the collaboration project between global K-pop icon BTS and ride-hailing company Gojek, after Indonesia and Malaysia. The project aims to create a positive impact on the lives of users, drivers, partners and merchants of Gojek in Vietnam, using the global influence of BTS.

BTS was formed in 2010 with seven members. After years of domestic success, they rose to international stardom in 2018. As of 2022, BTS is the best selling-artists in South Korea, with over 30 million albums sold. Their accolades include many American Music Awards, Billboard Music Awards, Golden Disc Awards and two Grammy nominations. They were dubbed "Next Generation Leaders" and "Princes of Pop". In Vietnam, BTS also has a huge and dedicated fanbase.
