Lisa, a member of the K-pop sensation Blackpink, has unveiled her plans to embark on a journey of learning French.

The singer expressed her intention to master the language in an interview with Elle Taiwan, as reported by Sinchew. Her motivation behind this decision is to enhance her communication with her niece, who primarily speaks French and not Thai.

Already fluent in her native language Thai, as well as Korean, English, and Japanese, Lisa has garnered immense admiration for her linguistic prowess. Her determination to add French to her repertoire of languages has been met with acclaim from her fans and supporters.

Prior to this announcement, there had been speculations regarding Lisa’s interest in learning French to facilitate communication with Frédéric Arnault, the son of LVMH’s founder, Bernard Arnault. The two allegedly share a close relationship, as they have been seen together at various events.

Arnault, 28, is currently the CEO at the Swiss watchmaker brand Tag Heuer. His father’s conglomerate LVMH manages prestigious luxury brands such as Christian Dior, Fendi, Loewe, Celine, and Bulgari, among others.

Born as Pranpriya Manoban in Thailand, Lisa, now 26, made her debut as a member of the South Korean girl group Blackpink in 2016 and embarked on a solo career with the release of her album "Lalisa" in 2021.

She has made history as the first K-pop artist to have a song surpass 1 billion streams on Spotify.

Beyond her music career, Lisa has carved a niche for herself in the fashion industry, becoming a global ambassador for prestigious luxury brands like Celine and Bulgari. Her influence also extends to social media, where she boasts an impressive following of 100 million on Instagram.

The singer is currently expanding her presence in France through various engagements. She is scheduled to perform at Le Gala des Pièces Jaunes, an event organized by a charity under the leadership of France’s First Lady Brigitte Macron on Jan. 26.
