Vietnam get precious draw against South Korea in U23 Asian Cup

Despite conceding first, Vietnam fought hard to equalize and shared the points with South Korea in U23 Asian Cup on Sunday night.

    Tuan Tai passed to Tien Long, who defeated the keeper with an unstoppable shot into the top corner. 1-1 for Vietnam!

    A freekick right at the edge of the box was awarded to Vietnam after Nguyen Van Tung got fouled. Jin-yong received the second yellow card for reacting and South Korea only had 10 men left.

    Cho Young-wook scored for South Korea as he turned and finished cleanly into the far corner.

    Go Jae-hyun ran down to face keeper Van Chuan, but the pressure from behind by defender Bui Hoang Viet Anh made his shot powerless and easy to save.

While Vietnam only got one point after drawing 2-2 against Thailand in the first game, South Korea had a great start with a 4-1 victory over Malaysia.

Vietnam have lost four out of five encounters with South Korea at the U23 level and this will be a chance for them to improve the results.

Both teams will have the strongest squad for this game.
