Six minutes are added to the second half.

Xuan Son pushed a Singapore defender to get back at him and was booked. If he receives another yellow card in the first leg of the final, he will be suspended for the second leg.

Nakamura's genius moment lightened up hope for Singapore, although there were only 12 minutes left on the clock. The guests will need to score three more goals to at least drag the game into extra time.

  • 76'

Nakamura almost scored another for Singapore, when he dribbled from the right into the penalty area, turned and finished in a more favorable position than before, but this time the ball flew close to Dinh Trieu and was blocked.

    Singapore got one back

Nakamura dribbled from the midfield before deciding to take a curling shot from a long distance which hit the post and went in. That goal was a beauty and goalkeeper Nguyen Dinh Trieu couldn't do anything about it. The score is now 2-1.

  • 69'

Vietnam started subbing out key players when they got a safe lead against Singapore.

  • 63'
    2-0 for Vietnam!

Xuan Son completed his brace with a tap-in. But the hero in this goal is Hoang Duc with a wonderful effort as he dribbled past two defenders at the edge of the box before making a pass inside. Safuwan Baharudin tried to block the pass but it still found Xuan Son, who easily finished into the empty net.

The ASEAN Cup semifinals and final this year don't apply the away goals rule, so the team that scoresmore goals over the two legs will win the match. With a 2-0 victory in the first leg, Vietnam will still reach the final even if they lose by one goal. Throughout the history of the tournament, since the semi-finals were played in two legs, no team has overturned a two-goal deficit in the first leg, and Singapore are trying to overcome that.
