    Goal for Vietnam!

Another substitution, Pham Tuan Hai, opened the account for Vietnam with a shot from outside the box into the left corner, leaving Syria keeper Alma no chance.

Vietnam seem to be facing difficulties in the transition period, from coach Park Hang-seo to coach Philippe Troussier. After the first game under the new coach in which Vietnam won 1-0 against Hong Kong at Lach Tray Stadium on June 15, the French coach received a lot of criticism for the lackluster performance of the team.

The game with Syria, who are five places above Vietnam on FIFA rankings, is expected to be another challenge but also a chance for the team to put on a more convincing performance for fans.
