Vietnam have run out of chances to advance past the group stage after losing to the U.S. and Portugal, conceding five goals without scoring once, while Netherlands have earned four points and just need to draw to advance.

In order to avoid Sweden in the round of 16 of Women's World Cup, Netherlands set the target of winning big against Vietnam to improve their goal difference and take the top spot in group E.

Vietnam also want a good game to say goodbye and avoid becoming the second Asian team to lose all three group-stage matches without scoring after Japan did so in 1991.
