China made three substitutions after conceding the third goal, but it might be too late now.

Regardless of the final result of this final, whichever team win will make history at the U23 Asian Cup. If Japan win, they will be the first team in history to successfully defend their U23 Asian Cup title, and the first to win it three times. If China win, it will be their first-ever title at the tournament.

The problem for Japan is that most of their players are two years younger than the other teams, and many of them are university students. Experience is the biggest issue for Japan in this year's tournament.

China, on the other hand, are the best defensive team in the tournament. They have not conceded a single goal since the start. They are also very good at disrupting their opponents' play, as demonstrated in their victories against Uzbekistan in the quarterfinals and Vietnam in the semifinals.
