  • 86'

The second half is coming to en end but the score is still 0-0.

After their impressive respective wins against Iraq and Indonesia, Japan and Uzbekistan entered the title game.

Uzbekistan have won all five games, scored 14 goals and never conceded on the way to the final. They are rated higher than Japan, who only advanced thanks to finishing second in group B, after South Korea.

Since the first U23 Asian Cup in 2013, there have been five teams winning the tournament through five editions. Japan were crowned in 2016 and Uzbekistan claimed the title in 2018. Therefore, the team that wins this match will become the first to lift the title twice. Both teams have qualified for the Olympics after winning the semifinals and are considered the two top young teams in Asia at the moment.
