Indonesia made historic advancement to the third round of 2026 World Cup qualifiers Tuesday as their 2-0 victory over Philippines placed them second of group F, eliminating Vietnam from the race.

While Philippines have already been eliminated from the World Cup second qualifying round, Indonesia have a great chance to advance to the third round for the first time as they are one point ahead of Vietnam, who will face Iraq in the other game.

If Indonesia beat Philippines, they will advance regardless of the result of the other game. If they draw, Vietnam will have to defeat Iraq to take Indonesia's place. If it's a defeat for Indonesia, Vietnam will only need a draw.

Indonesia will have the support of the home fans at Gelora Bung Karrno Stadium in Jakarta.
