Vietnam triumphs over Laos 4-1 in ASEAN Cup

Vietnam secured a dominant 4-1 victory over hosts Laos in the opening match of Group B at the 2024 ASEAN Cup.

The match saw goals from Nguyen Hai Long, Nguyen Tien Linh, Nguyen Van Toan, and Nguyen Van Vi, with Laos pulling one back from a penalty by Bounphachan Bounkong.

Despite a strong start from Laos in the first half, Vietnam controlled the game after the opening goal and extended their lead in the second half. The victory marks a strong start for Vietnam in the tournament.
