Hundreds of Hanoi police are stationed on numerous streets surrounding the embassy, including Dien Bien Phu, Tran Phu and Hoang Dieu. 30 police officers are also posted in front of the embassy gate.

Kim Jong-un will meet with U.S. President Donald Trump tomorrow and the day after. He arrived in Hanoi this morning to a warm welcome at the Dong Dang Railway Station in the northern province of Lang Son. He had taken an armored train to travel nearly 4,000km from Pyongyang, through China.

Trump is expected to arrive in the capital tonight.

The two-day Trump-Kim summit is expected to discuss ways to improve bilateral relationship and establishing long-term peace on the Korean Peninsula, including denuclearization and returning the remains of fallen soldiers during the Korean War.
