Trump leaves Hanoi as no agreement reached with Kim
U.S. President Trump has left Hanoi early after his second summit with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un ended abruptly without a deal.
U.S. President Donald Trump left Hanoi Thursday afternoon, two hours earlier than his planned departure at 6:05 p.m.
He and North Korea Chairman Kim Jong-un entered the second day of their summit in Hanoi on Thursday but eventually failed to reach an agreement on denuclearization.
Yet Trump told Vietnamese officials at Noi Bai International Airport that the Hanoi summit has made certain progress and he thanked Vietnam for the warm reception, said Minister, Chairman of Government Office Mai Tien Dung, who saw Trump off at the airport.

North Korea wanted the sanctions lifted in their entirety, he said.
"We want to give up the sanctions because that country has so much economic potentials. But only when they agree to give up their nuclear," Trump said, adding that Kim wants to do areas that are less important to the United States.
