Tan is in his final year at the Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy, while Bowlki is a well-known influencer in Thailand with a following of over 862,000 on Instagram.
The couple has recently gained fame on social media for their relationship that transcends age and geographical distance.
Tan recounted that Bowlki discovered his profile on social media and initiated contact. He was immediately struck by her beauty and allure, finding her exactly his type.
After talking for a month and a half and discovering many shared interests, Bowlki traveled to Vietnam to meet Tan.
Following their initial meeting, they alternated visits to accommodate their schedules: Tan would visit Thailand when Bowlki was busy, and she would visit him otherwise.
“Distance has never been an issue,” Tan said. “Thailand is just an hour and 10 minutes away by flight, and sharing the same time zone is convenient for us. Sometimes, if I miss her too much in the morning, I might fly over and return by evening.”
For Tan, overcoming the language barrier has been the most significant challenge in his relationship with Bowlki, as they communicate in English but are not fluent and often resort to body language.
Tan has encountered numerous inquiries regarding their age difference. He clarified that although Bowlki is nine years his senior, she appears youthful, and many assume they are peers.
“Age has never been a barrier,” he stated. “It’s not about how old she is, but about her soul. Bowlki seems youthful and very adorable to me.”
For him, “valuing each other and the time spent together helps overcome any prejudices.”
The couple enjoys shopping, exercising at the gym, and traveling together when they meet. Their relationship is supported by both their families and friends.
Having gained popularity and support, they are planning to launch a social media account to document their love story and joyful moments.
