A week before the opening of SEA Games 31, hundreds of workers are finalizing construction tasks both inside and outside My Dinh Stadium.
All of Stadium B will be used as a stage, while Stadium A is reserved for officials from different countries, delegates and other guests.
Stadiums C and D are reserved for sports teams. Due to impacts of Covid-19, besides the 31 sports teams' members in the parade, each team could only have another 100 members sitting among the audience.
Hanoi has mobilized around 2,000 officials, artists, athletes and students from 14 sports and art units to perform at the opening ceremony.
The grass field and football pitch are covered with plastic, steel and plate layers so performances would not affect the fields themselves.
The ceremonial torch would be relayed between eight athletes before the cauldron is lit.
There would be a fireworks show, lasting for 15 minutes at most, during the opening ceremony.
