On April 16, the prince shared a series of photos from a holiday he took with his wife in Venice, captioning the post: “Spring leave road trip.”

Since their wedding in Jan. 2024, the royal couple has captured the hearts of their fans with their affectionate and joyful public appearances.

Following their wedding, the couple attended a polo event in Thailand, where they were seen dressed elegantly.

They also made a pilgrimage to the holy sites of Mecca and Medina during the Ramadan celebrations in April 2024.

The couple has attended royal events, including the installation of Malaysia’s Sultan Ibrahim in July 2024.

The prince took the opportunity to express his love and admiration for his wife by sharing a series of photos to wish her a happy birthday in Nov. 2024.

As the new year arrived, he posted a wedding photo with the caption: “Wishing everyone a great year ahead. Happy New Year.”

On Jan. 14, the couple marked their first wedding anniversary with a photo taken in Florence, Italy.

At 34, Prince Mateen is a passionate polo enthusiast who has represented Brunei in the 2017 and 2019 SEA Games. He was named one of Asia’s most eligible bachelors by Tatler magazine in 2016.

His wife, 31-year-old Yang Mulia Anisha Rosnah, is a successful entrepreneur in the cultural tourism sector and a graduate of the University of Bath in the U.K. She has strong connections to Brunei’s royal family: her grandfather Pehin Dato Isa served as a government advisor in the 1960s and 1970s, while her brother Danial Deen Isa-Kalebic is a close friend of Prince Mateen.

Her sister-in-law Janetira Attaskulchai Deen is linked to Thailand’s Attaskulchai family, known for founding the Betagen yogurt brand.

Their wedding, which took place in Bandar Seri Begawan, lasted 10 days and was a grand affair attended by around 5,000 guests, including international dignitaries.
