Model Khanh Linh, one of Vietnam’s most influential fashionistas, held an engagement ceremony with her groom-to-be, fashion industry player Vu Minh Kong, in Ho Chi Minh City.
The couple celebrated the big day with relatives, close friends and countless flowers on Thursday.
Donning a white ao dai and a pearl necklace, Linh walked elegantly to the stage, escorted by Kong.
The crowd went wild when the couple exchanged rings.
The widely-admired fashionista’s bouquet brought together a medley of flamingo flowers, pincushion flowers, and calla lilies, which symbolize fulfillment and happiness.
Linh received gifts from her and Kong’s parents.
"I was excited [for the engagement ceremony] since I prepared everything myself, including the smallest details," she said.
She then changed to a lace wedding dress by leading local designer Ha Truong.
The couple shot their wedding photos while attending Paris Fashion Week in Sep., a fitting backdrop for the Vietnamese trendsetters.
Linh, 28, launched her career by competing at the 2017 The Face beauty contest. She has been a popular fashion blogger and a highly-sought model ever since.
Kong, 36, is the owner of a successful fashion brand.
Linh and Kong took a photo with their parents, who have always supported their relationship.
The couple started dating six years ago. They met each other when Linh was invited to take a photoshoot for Kong in 2016.
They announced their separation last year before getting back together a few months later as they realized that they "could not live without each other," according to Linh.
The couple is planning for a wedding ceremony by the end of the year.
