Thailand welcomed the highest number of Indian tourists in the first quarter of this year with 543,770 arrivals, followed by Malaysia (347,000) and Vietnam (140,000).

Thailand is a popular destination for Indian tourists, with visa-free entry for short stays.

In 2024, India became the third-largest source market for Thailand, with 2.1 million visitors. This surge was attributed to Thailand's visa-free policy for Indian tourists.

Malaysia also waives visas for Indian tourists until Dec. 31, 2026.

To attract visitors from the world's most populous country, the Philippines also started allowing Indian nations to enter without a visa for a maximum stay of 14 days from June 8.
