There are four weekly flights on the routes -- on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays -- and fares start at VND688,000 ($28.80) excluding taxes and fees, the carrier said.
"We now prioritize expanding and increasing flight operations to India to serve the rise in demand for both leisure and business travel," deputy CEO of the carrier, Nguyen Thanh Son, said.
Ahmedabad is the largest city in the Indian state of Gujarat and famous for its ancient temples.
Last month Vietjet began direct services to New Delhi and Mumbai from Phu Quoc Island.
In the first nine months of this year Vietnam received 94,000 Indian visitors.
There were 200,000 in 2019, the year before Covid broke out.
