Southeast Asia's largest economy sees April foreign tourist arrivals up 9%

Indonesia, the largest economy in Southeast Asia, welcomed over 1.16 million foreign tourists in April, marking a 9.15% rise compared to the same period last year, according to data released by Statistics Indonesia.

Malaysia was the largest source of visitors during the month (170,020), followed by Australia and mainland China.

In the first four months of this year, Indonesia welcomed a total 4.33 million foreign tourist arrivals, up 5.6% compared to the same period in 2024.

It targets 16 million foreign tourist arrivals in 2025.
