The data shows that travel from China to Indonesia has not only recovered but also surpassed pre-Covid levels, Xinhua News Agency reported.
In 2025, Chinese travelers were the fourth-largest group of international visitors to Indonesia, accounting for 8.7% of total inbound tourism after Malaysia, Australia and Singapore, according to data from Statistics Indonesia.
Bali and Jakarta remained the most popular destinations among Chinese tourists, together receiving more than one million visits.
Indonesia received 15.3 million foreign arrivals in 2025, up 10% from the previous year.
The country expects to receive up to 17 million this year, up 11% year-on-year.
