The island saw nearly 27,000 foreign tourists, a 22% year-on-year increase, according to Kien Giang Province's portal.
Bui Quoc Thai, director of the provincial Department of Tourism, credited the surge to a variety of entertainment activities and diverse promotional campaigns.
Despite heavy rains in some areas of the island, the holiday period saw a notable boost in tourism.
