In Phu Yen, a poor province with a population of around 860,000, a large number of people head out to sea to fish, making boats their lifeline.

Hoai said: "From above, the net looks like a heart of the sea."

All About Photo, an online magazine dedicated to showcasing the work of photographers around the world, this year received entries from 23 countries and they were judged by a panel of 10 experts.

The Photographer of the Year award, worth $5,000, was won by the U.K.'s Tom Price for "Porter" image, featuring a 'relocated' porter from Kolkata, India, as a reflection on the experience of migrant workers.
