Surfing in clouds at Bach Ma mountain peak

Following a 20-km road leading to the summit of central Vietnam's Bach Ma (white horse) mountain, at 1,450 meters, visitors might feel like they are surfing in the clouds.

A curvy road leads the way to Bach Ma mountain. The landscape is part of Bach Ma National Park, 40 kilometers from the central town of Hue.

After buying a ticket at the gate, tourists can rent a car and drive about 20 km to Hai Vong Dai, the highest point on the Bach Ma summit while taking in the view.

As visitors ascend, the lines and curves of the mountains and forests slowly shape by the side of the car windows. Bach Ma is the only strip of Vietnams primeval forest that connects the sea to the Vietnam - Laos border. Leaving Hai Vong Dai rest stop, visitors can follow the 5-km trail into the woods to Ngu Ho lake. This is the center pool of five connected large and small lakes.Another water destination, Do Quyen waterfall that is 30 meters high, is about an hour on foot from the Ngu Ho lake.
