Southeast Asian island voted world's best destination by Tripadvisor readers

"Bali is a living postcard. Soak up the sun on a stretch of fine white sand or head underwater to dive along coral ridges or the colorful wreck of a war ship," Tripadvisor wrote.

Bali is known for its natural landscapes, picturesque beaches, traditional culture, rich history, and ancient temples, making it a favorite among travelers worldwide.

Tripadvisor recommended travelers visit Ubud, describing it as an ideal destination to watch cultural dance performances, join batik or silver-smithing workshops, or rejuvenate the mind and body through yoga classes.

Bali recorded 7.05 million foreign tourist arrivals throughout 2025, marking the island's highest figure in the past decade.

Local authorities last year issued a series of guidelines for foreign tourists to curb misbehaviors and improve its tourism image amid travel boom.

London ranked second in theTripadvisor list, followed by Dubai, Hanoi and Paris.

The 2026 Travelers' Choice Best of the Best Destinations are calculated based on the quality and quantity of reviews, specific to each award subcategory, for accommodations, restaurants, and things to do in destinations from travelers globally on Tripadvisor between Oct. 1, 2024 through Sept. 30, 2025.

The awards highlight travelers' favorite destinations, helping people plan unforgettable trips and discover the world's best experiences.
