London-based aviation consultancy Skytrax has named Singapore's Changi as having the world's best airport washrooms for the first time, highlighting its importance in delivering the highest standards.

The rankings were based on a global survey conducted by Skytrax, which gathered responses from over 13 million airport users across more than 100 countries between August 2024 and February 2025.

This new award introduced for 2025 recognizes the importance of these facilities and honors those airports delivering the highest standards. As with all new awards, this is based on the first year on all assessments and feedback from Skytrax audit office, and has covered 235 airports where this was assessed in detail, Skytrax said.

Changi Airport upholds high hygiene standards with regular cleaning and disinfection, along with the use of advanced cleaning technologies like autonomous cleaning robots.

In addition, the airport emphasizes environmental sustainability by utilizing cleaner energy, reducing waste, and optimizing water consumption.

This year, Changi also regained its title as the world's best airport for 2025, after losing it to Qatar's Hamad International Airport last year.
