Singapore's Changi stands low in airport experience ranking

The ranking evaluated passenger experience at 250 airports worldwide based on three criteria: on-time performance, customer opinion, and the quality of food and retail services.

Changi received a score of 7.4 out of 10 for on-time performance, 8.8 for customer opinion and 8.9 for the quality of food and shops.

Cape Town Airport in South Africa was ranked the world's best airport with a score of 8.6 for on-time performance.

Last April, Changi Airport was named the world's best airport for 2025 at the World Airport Awards organized by London-based aviation consultancy Skytrax, after losing the title to Qatar's Hamad International Airport last year.

Spanning more than one million square meters across four terminals, equivalent to 156 football fields, Changi Airport is known for its state-of-the-art amenities, including duty-free shopping, luxury accommodation and automated check-ins.

The airport offers a variety of shopping services, including a 24/7 shopping concierge, online shopping and duty-free shopping. The airport also has a wide range of retail outlets, from luxury brands to duty-free shops and convenience stores.
