Phu Quoc scored 95.51 points out of 100, far surpassing other renowned names in Asia-Pacific such as the Maldives (92.31 points), Maui in Hawaii (93.35 points), Bali (89.84 points), and Phuket (84.62 points).
This marks the fourth consecutive year Phu Quoc has appeared in the ranking—with both its score and position improving.
In Asia, Phu Quoc was voted Asia's most beautiful island, followed by Malaysia' Langkawi and Thailand's Koh Samui.
Phu Quoc has become a bright spot of Vietnam's tourism this year.
The island received 1.2 million foreign arrivals between January and September, up 65.8% year-on-year and surpassing this year's target of 1 million.
So far this year, Phu Quoc has welcomed 6.5 million visitors including domestic travelers, already surpassing last year's total of 5.9 million, according to An Giang Province's Department of Tourism.
