The coffee plants bloom in white on fields near Buu Minh Pagoda, a popular spiritual destination in the Central Highlands that situates around 15 km to the north of Pleiku Town. Each year, the coffee flower usually blooms about 2-3 waves, from December to March next year, each phase lasts from 7 to 10 days. Early in the morning is an ideal time for travelers to hunt for coffee. Thanks to the soil characteristics of fertile red basalt soil, this land has become one of the capital of coffee plants in the Central Highlands.

Thanks to its fertile red basalt soil, Gia Lai Province has become an important coffee-growing area in the Central Highlands.
