Highest fare on Hanoi-Hai Phong luxury train set at $11

On weekdays the VIP fare will be VND250,000.

The 34-seat VIP car will be in Indochinese style with a wooden floor, Wi-Fi service and a bar serving free drinks to passengers.

There will also be a 56-seat first-class car with swiveling seats to minimize motion sickness.

First-class tickets cost VND150,000-180,000.

Economy class tickets are priced at VND105,000-130,000.

Hai Phong authorities hope the new service will boost rail tourism and offer a unique experience for travelers.

In the past five years the 102 km Hanoi - Hai Phong railroad has gained popularity, especially for food tours.

In 2024 more than 1.5 million people traveled between the two cities.

Recently several luxury trains have been introduced to popular tourist destinations, enhancing travel options for visitors.
