The Golden Bridge in Da Nang City is one of 12 nominees in the world's leading iconic tourist bridge category at the 2021 World Travel Awards.

The bridge, 150 meters long and 12.8 meters wide, is at the Ba Na Hills Resort in the Truong Son mountain range. It will compete with other rivals like the Golden Skybridge in Canada, Panorama Langkawi in Malaysia, Henderson Waves Bridge in Singapore and Mishima Skywalk in Japan.

Nominees for the category also include Capilano Suspension Bridge in Canada, Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge in Northern Ireland, Charles Kuonen Suspension Bridge in Switzerland, Highline179 of Austria, Sky Walk Suspension Bridge in Costa Rica, Skybridge in Russia and Tolerance Bridge in the UAE.

The winner will be determined by votes from travelers around the world on the awards website and the awards ceremony will be held November 26 in Russia.

Designed by architect Vu Viet Anh and his team, the Golden Bridge opened to tourists in June 2018 and quickly became a popular tourism symbol.

The bridge has featured in top news outlets’ annual awards earlier. It was chosen among the world's best travel photos of 2018 by CNN Travel, the World's 100 Greatest Places by Time magazine and Pictures of the Year 2018 by Reuters.

The World Travel Awards, launched in 1993, acknowledge excellence in the travel and tourism industry, and have been described as the "travel industry's equivalent of the Oscars."
