A marriage proposal has gone viral after a Filipino couple staged the moment on a rope bridge suspended 600 meters above the ground in Vietnam's northern mountains.

Footage shared by ViralHog shows Onnie Jules Martinez, 33, proposing to his 23-year-old girlfriend Lindsay Bugay while the pair crossed the bridge at Rong May glass bridge tourist area in Lao Cai Province on Dec. 30, 2025.

In the video, the woman appears visibly tense as the narrow bridge sways beneath her feet. Her boyfriend walks just behind her, encouraging her forward while she concentrates on navigating the nerve-racking crossing.

As she continued walking ahead, he got down on one knee behind her and tried calling out to get her attention.

In the clip, he can be heard asking, "Babe, will you marry me? I love you." The proposal quickly drew cheers from onlookers as she turned and hurried back toward him.

A drone circled the couple to capture the moment, while Martinez snapped photos of Bugay admiring her ring as they remained suspended high above the landscape, People magazine reported.

The couple also shared the moment on Martinez's TikTok, with the caption describing it as "one of the most dangerous and courageous proposals of all time."

The suspension bridge is located in the Heaven's Gate area of the O Quy Ho Pass, 20 km from Sa Pa. It sits atop a mountain 2,200 meters above sea level and rises 600 meters from the base of the cliff.

With a length of 200 meters, the bridge has a total of 171 wooden steps.

Walking on the bridge, visitors can admire the panoramic view of the pass and the majestic scenery of the Hoang Lien Son mountain range.
