Chinese superstar Fan Bingbing enjoys spring vacation in Japan

"Spring arrives peacefully, the world covered in pink. I stood there for the longest time, thinking... should I plant a weeping cherry at home? Sounds like a dream," she wrote on her Instagram, which has 4.4 million followers.

Fan wore a white T-shirt and a wool coat while strolling along the streets of Tokyo, which were lined with cherry blossoms.

On March 30, the Japanese Meteorological Agency (JMA) declared the popular "somei yoshino" cherry trees in Tokyo to be in full bloom.

Many Vietnamese celebrities have also been flocking to Japan to enjoy the cherry blossom season.

Do Quang Vinh, son of Vietnamese banking tycoon Do Quang Hien, shared photos on his Instagram with 46,000 followers, showing off his trip to Tokyo to witness the cherry blossoms.

Fan, 43, hails from Shandong, China. She began her entertainment career at the age of 17 and is known for her work as an actress, model, TV producer, and singer.

In 2017, she was featured in Time Magazine’s list of the 100 most influential people.
