Chinese celebrities Tong Dawei, Guan Yue visit Japan to celebrate 17th wedding anniversary

Cherry blossoms, or "sakura," are Japan's iconic flowers, typically reaching their peak from late March to early April, coinciding with the country's new school and business year celebrations.

Tong, 47, is a Chinese actor and singer best known for his roles in the television series "Jade Goddess of Mercy" (2003), "Struggle" (2007), and "Tiger Mom" (2015), as well as films like "Lost in Beijing" (2007), and "The Flowers of War" (2011). He was ranked 97th on Forbes China Celebrity 100 list in 2013, 84th in 2014, and 51st in 2015.

In 2008, Tong married Guan Yue, a prominent film and television actress.

Japan welcomed more than 10 million visitors in the first three months, marking the fastest ever pace to reach that level as the weak yen fueled a tourism boom, official data showed, Reuters reported.

The cherry blossom season in March contributed to the surge in tourist arrivals, as reported by the Japan National Tourism Organization.
