Its tourism revenues during the period reached VND39 trillion, up 99.5%, Sai Gon Giai Phong newspaper reported citing a source from An Giang Province's Department of Tourism.
Tourism authorities attributed the surge to the resumption of international tourists, especially charter flights from Russia.

Sun PhuQuoc Airways, Vietnam's newest carrier, will operate the Seoul – Phu Quoc route from March 2026, followed by Busan – Phu Quoc from September 2026, Vietnam News Agency reported.
The airline is set to launch Taipei – Phu Quoc from March next year and Kaohsiung – Phu Quoc from October.
Last year, Phu Quoc received 960,000 foreign tourists and expected to receive 1 million this year.
Phu Quoc has become a bright spot of Vietnam's tourism this year, attracting a series of Asian celebrities, including actress and model Jumbo Tsang and singer-actress Gillian Chung.
