Asia's most beautiful island among most searched destinations by Vietnamese for National Day holiday

Indonesia's Bali, named Asia's most beautiful island, was one of the five most searched outbound destinations by Vietnamese travelers for the upcoming National Day holiday, Agoda says.

Vietnamese travelers are flocking to travel abroad in bigger numbers this year. Compared to the same period in 2024, searches for international travel grew by 72%, Agoda said based on searches made between April 1 and May 20, 2025, for check-ins from Aug. 30 to Sept. 3, 2025.

Bali has long been renowned for its rich cultural heritage, including intricate dances, captivating rituals, and ancient temples.

Bali was named Asia's most beautiful island at this year's annual Reader's Choice Awards by DestinAsian magazine.

The island welcomed 6.3 million international visitors in 2024, surpassing pre-pandemic levels and aims to attract 6.5 million tourists this year.

It has recently introduced new guidelines for foreign tourists to curb misbehaviors and improve its tourism image amid travel boom.

Thailand's Bangkok was the most searched destination by Vietnamese for the holiday, followed by Singapore and South Korea's Seoul.

For this year National Day, Vietnam will have a four-day break that includes a weekend, from Aug. 30 to Sept. 2.
