5 Southeast Asian hotels named among world's best by Tripadvisor

Surrounded by palm trees near An Bang Beach in central Vietnam, Grandvrio Ocean Resort Danang ranked second on the list of Tripadvisor's 2025 Travelers' Choice Awards: Best of the Best Hotels.

Tripadvisor noted that travelers particularly loved the facility's kids pool, hot spring bath, and kids outdoor play equipment.

La Siesta Classic Ma May, located in the heart of Hanoi's Old Quarter near Hoan Kiem Lake, ranked fifth.

The hotel offers 75 guestrooms and suites, along with a rooftop sky bar that provides panoramic views of the city.

Travelers most appreciated its bar, salon and doorperson.

The Kayon Jungle Resort, nestled amidst the lush greenery of Ubud region in Indonesia's Bali, ranked 15th.

It has 38 suites and private pool villas overlooking green trees and outdoor swimming pools.

"Take in the stunning setting with a hike around the area, or unwind in the steam room, spa, and sauna. The accommodations are incredible, with private pools and magnificent views that make for a memorable experience," Tripadvisor wrote.

Ashley Tanah Abang, located in Indonesian capital Jakarta, a 5-minute walk from Tanah Abang Market, placed 17th in the list. The hotel offers accommodations with a terrace, free private parking and a restaurant.

"The modern vibe hits every corner, with smart TVs and unlimited streaming options in cozy rooms. Start your day with a complimentary breakfast, then hit the gym or pool. It's a great choice for families and business travelers alike," Tripadvisor recommended.

Jaya House River Park, located alongside Cambodia's Siem Reap River, ranked 21st. It is surrounded by fully grown trees, and features only 36 rooms.

Tripadvisor recommended guests enjoying daily massages at the on-site spa, take part in bike tours and explore nearby attractions, or simply lounge by the pool.

"The friendly and caring staff, along with a plastic-free policy and refillable aluminum water bottles, make this a unique and eco-friendly experience," Tripadvisor wrote.

To compile the list, Tripadvisor analyzed traveler reviews and ratings posted on its website throughout 2024.

Secrets Akumal Riviera Maya in Mexico topped the list.
