The woman is scheduled to be charged with theft in dwelling on Thursday. If convicted, she faces a fine and up to seven years in prison, The Straits Times reported.
Police were alerted after items were reported missing from four retail outlets in the airport’s transit area in late December, Mothership reported.
A store employee noticed the woman behaving suspiciously as she entered and exited the store without making a purchase.
The store manager later confirmed that items valued at S$1,121 were missing and reported the incident to the police.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the woman allegedly entered four different stores and concealed various items in her carry-on bag before leaving without paying, police said.
