A glass of cool craft beer (or two or...) is as good a de-stresser as any after a hard working week, many people will agree. And Pasteur Street Brewing is one of the pioneer craft beer places in the city. Nestled in an old building in District 1, the place is a familiar destination for Saigon beer connoisseurs.

The shop's space is quite narrow, but it is not stuffy. The noise and bustle at this place actually creates a comfortable atmosphere. Nothing stiff or formal about the place, and you can relax.

The craft beer here emits a handful of airy and light, grassy and floral fragrances. On the menu are fried chicken, burgers, sashimi and other dishes that perfectly complement the beer.

Prices range from VND45,000 - 800,000 ($1.94 - 34.56), depending on the dish.

Address: Pasteur Street Brewing - 144 Pasteur, District 1.

Ut Ut Quan - Barbeque and Beer

Ut Ut Quan, situated on  Truong Sa Street, impresses with names like "Don't Tease Me" and "I would die if I knew" for items on their menu. It has spacious interiors and the atmosphere is not packed, making it suitable for weekend gatherings of family and friends.

The shop offers craft beers of various flavors, including spicy, bitter, sweet and fruity. They have a good chef who serves delicious grilled ribs and onion beef sausages.. a bit dry, but goes well with the beer.

Prices range from VND50,000 - 200,000 ($2.16 - 8.64).

The restaurant is running three outlets at:

- 47 Xuan Thuy, Thao Dien, District 2

Malt is located in the heart of the city, and is already a favored address among many Western tourists for dating and drinking. The absence of preservatives gives the beer a taste that attracts connoisseurs of the drink. The friendly advice helps customers try out and enjoy different combinations.

Prices range from VND60,000 - 300,000 ($2.59 - 13).
