Famous for its authentic Hong Kong–style milk tea, once listed by CNN as one of the city's top four, the stall drew even greater attention after local superstar Eason Chan was spotted dining there multiple times, The Standard reported.
As one of the last remaining traditional tin-roofed dai pai dong-style eateries in the city, Bing Kee became a must-visit spot for both locals and tourists.
Located at 5 Shepherd Street in Tai Hang, the eatery first opened in the 1950s selling traditional Chinese pastries before shifting in the 1970s to classic Hong Kong fare such as milk tea, toast, and instant noodles.
Its pork chop noodles went on to become a signature dish.
Since the beginning of this year, many restaurants and eateries in Hong Kong also closed down.
